I'm sorry, but you'll just have to indulge me.

Look, I know it's not cool to brag. And it's probably not cool to run around the kitchen banging a couple of pots together, with my jumper pulled over my head, shouting "WOO HOO". But right now I am deliriously happy. Today is a day that will be proudly marked off in the Waffler diary, because today I sold my first ever piece of art work.

Now I couldn't help but have a little brag on Twitter because, well darn it, I'm excited, and when I'm excited I turn into a twelve year old who has a secret she simply must share with the world or else risk an embolism of some kind. All the lovelies on Twitter were quick to pat me on the back and make me feel all warm and fuzzy (you are all the best, you know that don't you ?) and so now, with permission from the buyer *giggle giggle* (twelve, I know). Here is 'The World According to Little Ricky', an A4 ink original by...urm...me....yay.

My Creative Space

Look, it's Thursday and I have something to post about for my creative space, will wonders never cease ? I'm still re-discovering my water colours, trying a few different things, looking for new effects. I was aiming for a ripple effect this time...I think it worked...sort of. I then decided it would be fun to draw lots of small, thin, lines......um yeah, that was all fun until I started to go cross-eyed. The Coach seems to be rolling his eyes at me a lot lately but I don't mind, it's nice to be doing something again that gave me such pleasure when I was younger.

Thanks again to Kirsty for hosting My Creative Space which encourages me to take some time out and get creative.

Eye Spy.....Inspiration

Today I thought I might join in a fun meme hosted by the lovely Cindy from bugandpop (check out the lingo folks, how blog savvy am I becoming ?). The theme for Eye Spy this week is inspiration and I must admit, I could fill a list at the moment.

But above all, I am inspired by the creativity of my children, particularly their artwork with so many lovely images and colours. Unfortunately I am finding myself in the predicament of many an adoring parent, so much artwork, so little room. I have resorted to selected the pick of the crop and discretely sending the runner ups in to the recycling bin, but I do so with a heavy heart I assure you.

Would you like to share what inspires you ? If you would, scoot over to bugandpop and join in the fun, we'd all love to see, oh yes we would.
