Eye Spy...My Favourite Corner of the House.

Yes, it would appear that I'm still a touch behind the eight ball this week. Slowly but surely I shall be getting back into the regular groove.

It's time to play Eye Spy with Cindy again and I don't think it will come as any great surprise to discover that my favourite corner is my creative nook at the end of the dining table.

It's a nice space, I can look ahead at the tops of the eucalyptus trees outside the kitchen window. To the left are the glass doors which open on to the side balcony (the spot where I happily sip on a glass of wine whilst manning the barbecue on balmy summer evenings). And to the right is the living room so I can keep an eye on the young folk or just gaze out the floor to ceiling windows at all the lovely trees.

Truth be told, I like all the corners in our house. It's a bright, airy home and I think it has a lovely warm vibe. This is one Waffler who is very content in her nest.

Christ, you sound like David Attenborrough narrating a bird documentary...

The Waffler is, I believe, a very close relative of the Warbler.

But I can see why you do love your nest, it looks purdy!

  3. We are about to start building a nest in the countryside near the mountains. I am looking forward to having those contented feelings too. I haven't felt like that since living in my little beach house in Australia a few years ago. I am such a homebody and apartment living just isn't in my Aussie veins.

  4. Sorry Rick, sometimes I just can't contain my inner David Attenborrough, all this dusty wind is making me a little loopy.

  5. Cassandra, a nest near the mountains sounds sublime. So it is true, you can take the girl out of Oz but you can't take the Aussie out of the girl.

  8. Lovely spot. Just the right sort of place for creating.

I have posted about my first ever 'peg folk' done on the fly in slapdash manner, not even close to your lovely ones. Still, you were the inspiration, thanks.
