What's Hot + What's Not

Thought I'd jump in quickly again this week and play along with Claire's What's Hot + What's Not meme.
NOT

Post school swim carnival colds. Have we not had enough coughs and sniffles for this year ? Urgh.

Ticks. Ticks on cats. Big ticks on cats. Silly cats that won't let you remove the big ticks. *Sigh*
HOT

Getting the Christmas tree up. Yay. I can't help but smile each time I glance over at the tree.

The teeniest, tiniest vegetables in the world. Is that not the cutest little green bean you have ever seen ?

Cucumbers. Do you love a Greek salad ? Mmmm, we do.

They're green tomatoes, but they're not fried. Grow my little beauties, grow.

A day for painting. That's what today shall be, just as soon as I finish typing. Painting is hot, don't let the kindergarten kids have all the fun. Pick up a paintbrush and join in, you can't help but enjoy it.

So what's hot + what's not at your place this week ? If you want to play scoot over to Loobylu's and join in the fun.

  1. My little tomatoes look the same. I peak at them every day for any change in size and colour. Home grown vegies - there's nothing like them!

  3. What a wonderful Christmas tree, so snow-laiden. Every year I try to think of an alternative type of tree, like crazy sticks with pretty oraments hanging off. But it's just not the same. And without the smell of REAL Christmas tree, I don't get those same vibes. Envious of your vegie garden too. Apartment living will end for me in one year and I will have a garden again, yippee!

  6. Love those pics. We have baby corn cobs in our back yard. Our 5yo boy had to grow corn so we have 9 plants in the garden. Don't know who's more excited about watching them grow, me or him!

  12. Yay on the Xmas tree! I am still debating about whether I can can be bothered. I have a tree and bought a million decorations in the sales last year, for the first time ever. I know it's going to be January, covered in dust and cobwebs and I will want to hide it in the garage, rather than deal with it. Argh.
