Look, it's Thursday and I have something to post about for my creative space, will wonders never cease ? I'm still re-discovering my water colours, trying a few different things, looking for new effects. I was aiming for a ripple effect this time...I think it worked...sort of. I then decided it would be fun to draw lots of small, thin, lines......um yeah, that was all fun until I started to go cross-eyed. The Coach seems to be rolling his eyes at me a lot lately but I don't mind, it's nice to be doing something again that gave me such pleasure when I was younger.
Thanks again to Kirsty for hosting My Creative Space which encourages me to take some time out and get creative.
Wow! I love the effect you got with the lines, it really pops.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tammy, certainly made my eyes feel like they were popping.....right out of my head :)
ReplyDeletethat looks really incredible ~i like the lines and i chuckled at the eye rolling~
ReplyDeleteYou are one talented lady. Can't wait to see what your next project is!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement. Next time The Coach rolls his eyes I shall melodramatically holler (in an Eastern European accent for good measure)"You know nothing....nothing".
ReplyDeletewow - in that first pic, it appears 3-D - flying off the paper! Well done!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely! I feel the same way... I'm very much re-discovering things I haven't done for years, and... one of them is watercolours as well! I love it :) K

ReplyDeleteWow. It's great that you included the close up photo to show the detail that is difficult to see in the top photo. The lines and detail are amazing.

ReplyDeleteNo Gina :)Just the background, the dragonfly is ink. Thanks for stopping by and the lovely comments.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lucy, provided we don't run out of water (darn water tanks) I shall continue playing.

ReplyDeleteThank-you all for stopping by and leaving such nice comments *blush*.
ReplyDeleteI am super amazed - that is so cool. I can't believe you think my sewing is clever, believe me I could easily teach you how to do that on the other hand you could never teach me how to do that!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cindy, but I still think your sewing is super clever.
ReplyDeleteI love this one! Did you know Boy 1's thing is Dragonflies? Dr Lyn was bestowed a few for Chrissie last year. I think it suits him to a T!
ReplyDeleteDragonfly is the power of light. The dragonfly inhabits two realms: air and water and the influence of both these elements will be felt by Dragonfly people. They will be emotional and passionate during their early years (the influence of water) and more balanced with greater mental clarity and control in as they mature (the influence of air).
