My Creative Space

Not many changes going on between my creative space from last week to this week. I'm back sketching away on my next project with my 'not always reliable but very still and professional model' up on my computer screen. If you are wondering (I find that most creative minds are also inquisitive minds) the sketch book on the right is covered in Ninja chicken prototypes. Bet that's got you curious now hasn't it ?

This is a very rough first sketch of the next young intrepid explorer.

And here is 'Boys Abroad' in all it's coloured glory. I love bright colours, particularly the deep red. Who wouldn't want a bright red pirate hat, arrrr me hearties.

Now run, don't walk, over to Kirstys for more wonderful creative offerings.

  1. Oh my Tara I LOVE it, the colours, the feel of it - the whole thing!! Boys are hard too I think, not to girly yet age appropriate. Have I mentioned yet that I love it

  2. These just get better and better! I am in love with the drawing (as much as it is possible to be in love with a drawing.)

I am particularly keen to see the outcome of the ninja chickens, a concept that makes me chuckle so heartily people in my office think I have some terrible chuckle disease.

Ninja chickens! Can lay a thousand eggs in two minutes WITHOUT YOU EVEN KNOWING IT.

  6. It is probably so obvious to you that use your "real life model" but to a non-drawer, it is a great glipse into how you create. And it must make a beautiful connection for you to know that there is a little bit of your little people in some of the things you draw.

  16. @Stomper Girl : No text with this one, I painted it as per a request. But I do have some story ideas and mum keeps asking if I'm going to have a crack at a childrens book (yikes), so who knows what the future may hold.
